Hope Peterson is a media artist working in hybrid cinema formats from consumer video to 35mm film and between. Originally from Winnipeg, she lives in Toronto, Canada. She was a key producer in the feminist video production collective WAIV, and attained an MFA from Concordia University. She combines and transforms original and found material to reimagine marginal spaces and experiences. Her moving image works have shown internationally in galleries, film festivals, and online, and are in the permanent collections of the University of Winnipeg and the National Gallery of Canada. Hope is also a cultural worker primarily in artist-run centres, and is an experienced grant writer, adjudicator and script consultant.
